Life is returning to normal for Denizen Hardwick. Well, the new normal, where he has to battle monsters in quiet Dublin bookshops and constantly struggle to contain the new powers he has been given by Mercy, the daughter of the Endless King. But Denizen may need those powers sooner than he thinks - not only are the Tenebrous stirring again but the Order of the Borrowed Dark face a new threat from much closer to home...

Review

Another great book by Dave Rudden, but sadly not as good as the first. Forever Court, the 2nd book in the Knights of the Borrowed Dark trilogy, is a fantasy book that teeters between middle grade and young adult so it was perfect for me and all those kids out there who are never quite satisfied with middle grade but most young adult is too old for them (age-wise), if that is you I feel you, but this book will be perfect for you! The only thing I didn’t exactly like is for about the first little while the storyline and plot were a bit confusing.

Most of Forever Court is yet again set in Ireland and we have most of the characters from the first book (with the exception of Grey and D’Aubigny) and many new characters as well. Uriel and Ambrel, part the Croit family, but not as favored because of their parents. The Redemptress, a figure who has cursed the Croit family for generations, making them serve her through out all their days. Grandfather, the person who took the Croit siblings in and away from their unfavored parents. And many, many more unforgettable characters.

about Xavier

Hi my name is Xavier, my mom and I started this site when I was ten (I’m twelve now). I began working on this site because I love to read so much and I always give my friends ideas for books they should read. Click here to see a list of my favorites books. Other than reading I like to draw and play Minecraft. I also like to rollerblade and build stuff. For a sport I do Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a type of martial arts.
