The city of Bryre suffers under the magic of an evil wizard. Because of his curse, girls sicken and disappear without a trace and all live in fear. No one is allowed outside after dark.

Night is when Kymera comes to the city, with a cloak disguising her wings, the bolts in her neck, and her spiky tail. Her mission is to rescue the girls of Bryre. Despite Kym’s caution to go secretively, a boy named Ren sees and befriends her…but what he knows will change her world forever.

You can only cry so much until your life is wept away. -MarcyKate Connolly, Monstrous

Monstrous by MarcyKate is a very great book for middle grade readers. I really got into the story and found myself being carried away into its pages. The only thing is for a while I was very frustrated with Ren because he only thought about himself. But when the story ended I was like “Noooooooooo!” But there is a second book in the Monstrous series

Monstrous by MarcyKate Connolly Day fifty-three

This book is about a girl named Kymera who has to stay hidden in the forest because she is part monster. For her own safety she is only allowed to go outside at night. So a very interesting concept, right?

It is an amazing book that I would recommend to all middle grade readers ages 10 to 12.

about Xavier

Hi my name is Xavier, my mom and I started this site when I was ten (I’m thirteen now). I began working on this site because I love to read so much and I always give my friends ideas for books they should read. Click here to see a list of my favorites books. Most of my days are spent at school, on the bus, or doing homework. When I find a little down time I like to draw, listen to music, sing, play ukulele or bass guitar.
