No one ever said life was easy. But Ponyboy is pretty sure that he's got things figured out. He knows that he can count on his brothers, Darry and Sodapop. And he knows that he can count on his friends - true friends who would do anything for him, like Johnny and Two-Bit. And when it comes to the beating up on "greasers" like him and his friends - he knows that he can count on them for trouble. But one night someone takes things too far, and Ponyboy's world is turned upside down...

Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold _Jonny, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

This was the first book I read for my 6th grade English class. And I otherwise probably wouldn’t have picked it up, but I am very glad I did because it was super intriguing.
The Outsiders theme and style is very different from other books I read. It was amazing! I loved how it is really fast paced and action packed. I don’t really know how to explain why I liked it, but from the first chapter I was hooked.
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a pretty fantastic read and I recommend it to every middle schooler in the world. I think everyone should read it or have read it at least once in their lifetime.

about Xavier

Hi my name is Xavier, my mom and I started this site when I was ten (I’m twelve now). I began working on this site because I love to read so much and I always give my friends ideas for books they should read. Click here to see a list of my favorites books. Other than reading I like to draw and play Minecraft. I also like to rollerblade and build stuff. For a sport I do Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a type of martial arts.
