Tessa Woodward just moved into a creepy house on Shady Street. She's convinced it's haunted. Weird things have been happening from lights flickering to mysterious drawings in her sketchbook to noises coming from her room. She manages to convince herself that its just an old house until her brother's creepy ventriloquist doll starts crying real tears in the middle of the night. She realizes that something is trying to communicate with her. But what would try to do that? And why?
Review
A really great book by Lindsay Currie that captivated me every step of the way. I had been wanting to read this book for so long before now and then there was a book give away for it…and I won! How crazy is that? Anyways the book was amazing and I can’t believe how great it was. The best part was when Tessa learns that Andrew had been spying on her at the lake while she was painting because I was laughing at how much Andrew kept trying to sweep it aside like it was nothing.
I think The Peculiar Incident on Shady Street is a very thrilling and sometimes can be a little creepy, book for ages 11 and up. But I think if you were younger and wanted to read the book you could, but the only thing is it could be a little to creepy. Though if you don’t get scared easily then it would be fine for you.
This is an amazing book that I would recommend to everyone. I LOVE THIS BOOK! š
