Alex and Conner Bailey are twins. At first their lives are pretty ordinary for 12 year olds. But when they end up with their grandmother's book of fairytales, their lives change drastically. The twins somehow find themselves in a different dimension inside the mysterious storybook.

That is only the beginning...from a magical spell to an evil enchantress to a two-hundred-year-old army. There is never a down moment. The characters of classic fairytales always have something in store for the twins.

Review

I have been obsessed with the Land of Stories series for about three years now and everytime a new book comes out I would reread the entire series again. Like I said, OBSESSED. They are so good and as of right now I have read the first three books three times, the fourth and fifth books twice, and the sixth/final book once. They are just that good.

I love the story line so much. I find it very interesting how Chris Colfer takes all of our classic fairy tales and changes their stories a little to create new characters with very different personalities and backgrounds. He makes all of his characters seem so real and I feel like I was right there with them throughout the whole series.

There are two characters that I have loved throughout all the books, the first is Mother Goose. She is hilarious! I just love her so much. And the second is Goldilocks. She is a very inspiring character, basically after she accidently broke into the three bears house when she was a young girl, she has been a outlaw. She is everything a person should be, all wrapped up into one character in a book.

I think anyone who the age 10 or up would really enjoy this series so with all of my heart I will recommend these books to you.

about Xavier

Hi my name is Xavier, my mom and I started this site when I was ten (I’m thirteen now). I began working on this site because I love to read so much and I always give my friends ideas for books they should read. Click here to see a list of my favorites books. Most of my days are spent at school, on the bus, or doing homework. When I find a little down time I like to draw, listen to music, sing, play ukulele or bass guitar.
